• Account data: Name, email, password, phone number
• Employment data: Role, department, salary (visible to admins only)
• Project data: Project names, tasks, descriptions
• Communications: Internal chat messages, task comments

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

• Location data: GPS location when you clock in/out (only with your permission)
• Time records: Clock-in/out times, worked time
• Device data: Device type, OS, app version
• Usage data: Features used, access frequency
• Push tokens: To send notifications (APNs/FCM)

2. How We Use Your Information

• Service operation: Record hours, calculate payroll, manage projects
• Communication: Enable internal chat and task notifications
• Location: Verify clock-ins happen in authorized locations
• Reports: Generate hours, productivity, and payroll reports
• Support: Answer questions and troubleshoot issues
• Improvements: Analyze usage to improve features

3. Sharing Information

We share information only in these cases:

• Within your organization: Admins can view employee data (hours, location, salaries)
• Service providers: Fly.io (hosting), push notification services (Apple/Google)
• Legal requirements: If required by law (court order, investigation)
• Rights protection: To prevent fraud or illegal activity

4. Data Security

• Encryption: All communications use HTTPS/TLS
• Passwords: Stored using bcrypt hashing (never in plaintext)
• Tokens: JWT tokens with automatic expiration
• Limited access: Only authorized personnel can access data
• Backups: Regular encrypted backups

5. Data Retention

• Active data: While your account is active
• After cancellation: 90 days for recovery, then permanent deletion
• Legal data: Payroll records are kept according to local legal requirements
• System logs: Kept for 12 months for security and auditing

6. Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update incorrect data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
• Portability: Export your data in JSON/CSV
• Objection: Object to certain processing
• Withdrawal: Withdraw GPS location consent

7. GPS Location

• Collected only when you clock in/out
• You can revoke permission in your device settings
• Without location, some features may not be available
• Location is used only to verify the workplace
• No continuous location tracking is performed

8. Push Notifications

• You can disable them in the app settings
• Used for: new messages, task assignments, reminders
• They do not contain sensitive information (salaries, private data)

9. Minors

ChatIN Clock is for business use. We do not knowingly collect data from minors under 18. If we discover a minor has provided data, we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes via:

• In-app notification
• Email to your registered account
• Notice on our website

11. International Transfers

Data is stored on Fly.io servers located in São Paulo, Brazil. We follow international data protection standards.

The web version may use cookies to:

• Remember preferences

13. Account Deletion

You can delete your account inside the app (Profile → Delete account). If you can’t access the app, follow the instructions here:
